Happy 2022 from the entire community at ChooseYourself. We hope this year has come with ease, clarity, and the goodness we all deserve.

For us, January was a busy month. We resumed work after a resting December where most of the team was on a mandatory rest. We spent the month finalizing our annual report to be published soon. We worked on our work plans and goals for the year. We are excited to share that this year we are continuing and doubling our efforts in building a world where gender equity reigns.

Our four programs: Community integration in Maine, Girl Talk Afrique, Home away from home, and Grow with us Fellowship, remain functioning with the same vision and mission: to contribute to the economic and social power of young women.
|
For February, we look forward to the Capacity-building retreat for our Girl Talk coordinators happening in Kigali. We will be choosing new young women entrepreneurs for our 2022 fellowship and We will also be launching our Annual report. Our community library at Nakivale settlement in Uganda has also resumed activities Monday to Saturday.

GWU fellowship application
|
Grow With Us is an annual fellowship that focuses on empowering and mentoring young African women and non-binary entrepreneurs who are thriving on the African continent. We identify the most promising social and community leaders who are problem solvers and passionate about accessing economic power to help their communities. The fellowship is held remotely throughout the year with different mentors from different sectors. At the end of the fellowship, a Bootcamp allows fellows and mentees to come together for a three-day session before returning to focus on their projects. We are currently accepting applications.
