What are we up to!

Grow with us:

• Our Grow With Us Fellows already had their first session of the month. Our Facilitator Naomi Dangbele really set the tone for the rest of the fellowship, through her session, by creating a room for our mentees to have a healthy disregard for the impossible. Sometimes our only limitations are our energy and imagination.

Home Away from Home:

• Our girls at the Nakivale refugee establishment are already preparing for their second term of school and thanks to your donations we have been able to send more girls to school this year. We have also been following up their education thanks to the reinforcement education activity that takes place every Saturday.
• The community has also been accessing the library which is open from Monday to Friday which also manages a book club called Nice & Sharp where 30 young refugees (aged between 11 years old - 18 years old) from different backgrounds, meet every Saturday: read, discuss, debate on different topics of the books as well as enhancing their writing skills in English.
• This last week, our local partner, Kisoboka Africa, (financial inclusion NGO) launched the second promotion of the entrepreneurship training, hosting 30 young women refugees who are going to start learning how to start a business and how to sustain it. The training has already facilitated entrepreneurship skills to 10 young women in 2021 who have successfully started their businesses. We can’t wait to share with you, very soon, their success stories.
